Screening & Painting Party of "Rootless Clouds"
https://www.facebook.com/events/350843998402814/
Countdown to the end of the exhibition. Have you visited it yet?
On the closing day (1:30 pm, June 29), we will have the last big-screen projection of German artist Lilian Enders Ribeiro's work and organize a painting party. All ages welcome. Let's draw your vision of the city you want to live in Wolong 29. Is the ideal city in your mind consistent with the real estate ads? What does your "World Design Capital" look like? Does the urbanscape designed by the government meet your needs? Are your memories and emotions tied to the island? Where are your roots?
This Sunday afternoon, draw the city you imagine to live with chalks and paints.
Let's tear up the real estate ads and exchange them with your dreams. Use your creativity to add colors to the exhibition on the last day!
If it rains, the painting party will be limited in the exhibition venue. If it's fine, let colors spread the lane leading to the main road.
Beer, chalks, crayons, and paints are available. Welcome to bring your own tools, food and drinks to share with us!

A Journey of Old Houses
Do you know that National Taipei University of Education is the oldest university in Taiwan? That day, an old man, a former alumnus of this university, who is nearly ninety years old, came to Wolong 29 to watch the exhibition, telling us the story of the old houses. We have more understanding of this area and bear different feelings. The dormitory houses, according to the grandfather, were built as the school was established. Many have very rare, special black tiles, and some have European-style roof.
The sun has emerged. This Sunday afternoon, while you come to the exhibition to watch films, listen to stories and join our talks, you can also lose yourself in time, wandering through the Japanese-style dormitory houses.

Thank you, dear friends! The exhibition of "Rootless Clouds: An Amnesic State of An Island" is going well, open daily from 10:00 to 17:00. We also get more attention and signatures of the petition to preserve Nangang Bottle Cap Factory.
Do you want to know why where those address and road signs refer disappears from the map? Do you want to see clearly the full video works in the first exhibition room? How do the general public report the old houses and trees near their homes and make them protected by an "identity"? If we can do it, everyone can.
On 6/15 afternoon (1:30 p.m.), the complete version of German artist Lilian Enders Ribeiro's work "Constructive Construction Conversation" will be played once again on a bigger screen.
At 2 pm, there is also a forum about cultural heritage and tree protection, organized by Huaguang Tree Protection Volunteers, Saving Heritage of Taipei Prison, and Nangang Bottle Cap Factory Guard. We will share how ordinary citizens become guardians of city forest and greenery, and our precious cultural assets, which are in danger due to urban regeneration and development. We will show you how to fill in monument application forms and how to turn the old trees in your neighborhood into protected trees. If you are concerned about the disappearing roots on this land, we will share our experiences, so that the seeds can spread out!
Also come to the exhibition to listen to the stories of these vanishing address and road signs. They are not only signs. They represent many things you do not know ...

Taiwan's Pride
Taipei has surpassed Hong Kong and become "the world's most unaffordable city considering its rocketing housing prices." Real estate advertising and the building boom construct the world number 1. Could it be considered the pride of Taiwan?
What have we lost in the end?
Can a tree without roots keep flourishing and be full of vitality?
